Formerly owners of Ristorante Michel’angelo in Capri, the husband and wife team, Gianluca and Holly, officially closed the door to their restaurant for the last time after 12 memorable years in 2020. In 2021, they opened their private cooking classes, degustation dining, cheese, wine and extra virgin olive oil tastings and gelato/sorbet workshops, along with continuing their villa catering services. With Gianluca as your local Caprese chef and Holly, island storyteller, they will teach you how to cook and enjoy the local cuisine with fabulous fresh garden produce, delicious local wine, great company and a few laughs in the comfort of their picturesque garden villa.
Together they opened the Michel’angelo cooking school in 2015, teaching guests from all over the world, from beginners to professional chefs, how to cook the island’s authentic cuisine using Gianluca’s family recipes in over 1000 classes. They’ve also taken their cooking class on the road, most recently collaborating with EATALY holding cooking classes at their USA and Canadian locations in 2020.
